Mid-Term Advice

It’s that time of year again – midterms! As you begin preparing for your mid-semester assessments and exams, we would like to share a few tips and techniques to help with managing stress and anxiety.
1. Develop a study schedule – it’s best to start studying as soon as possible and continue studying for short periods of time every day leading up to your exam. This will keep you from ‘burning out’ and will keep your mind active on the topic daily leading up to the test.

2. Stay healthy – eat healthy, go to the gym, meditate, get enough sleep. Staying physically healthy helps you stay mentally and psychologically sharp and alert.

3. Stay organized –make sure that you are keeping your day structured and all of your assignments and tasks organized in a way that will make it easier for you to transition from project to project with ease. This will help you save time and give you more free time each day.

4. Get some fresh air – go outside. It’s important that you get out of the library and enjoy your time on campus and enjoy the outdoors. Keep a good perspective of life/work balance, take a break, and go for a walk.

Good luck!
