World Learning in Mongolia

World Learning has the honor of implementing The Leaders Advancing Democracy Program (LEAD) in Mongolia. It is a multi-faceted program supporting Mongolia’s best and brightest young democracy advocates to realize their vision for positive change.

Not only does Global UGRAD have 48 Mongolian alumni, one of them – Munkhkhishig Dashteren – was hired as the Training Program Associate for the project! Munkhkhishig, twelve other UGRAD alumni, and our U.S. Embassy contact all joined LEAD’s opening event. Way to represent, UGRAD!

“Though this important initiative, World Learning together with its partners International Republican Institute (IRI) and Centre for Citizen Education (CCE) undertake a variety of leadership programs, international exchanges, and civic education activities. LEAD-Mongolia intersects three important activities, each a reinforcing element of the next: (i) a US-Mongolia Emerging Leaders Exchange Program with emerging leaders from different sectors; (ii) a Mongolia Emerging Leaders Alliance which will connect Mongolian Emerging Leaders from counterparts in the region and position them as regional leaders; and (iii) a civic education curriculum development and citizen engagement component with high school students.

Through LEAD-Mongolia, we envision that our up-and-coming leaders taking part in the program will have the requisite skills, knowledge, and networks to engage constructively with and within their government, communities, or other institutions for improved democratic outcomes.

LEAD-Mongolia is made possible by the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The content presented on this page is the responsibility of World Learning and do not necessarily reflect the views of USAID or the United States Government.”
