Global UGRAD March Madness
Many Global UGRAD students have had the opportunity to cheer for some of the best college basketball teams in the country. Now it’s time for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Basketball Tournament, commonly known as March Madness! This year’s tournament is shaping up to be an exciting ‘big dance’ given that there have been no clear favorites for Number 1 in the country. Seven Global UGRAD host institutions have found themselves ranked among the field of 68 teams. The tournament tips off with two Global UGRAD schools – Florida Gulf Coast University and Fairleigh Dickinson – facing each other for a chance to advance to the 2nd round. West Virginia University, the University of Utah and University of Texas – Austin had fantastic seasons and were awarded high seeds. University of Kansas, a No. 1 seed, is expected to go far into the tournament. We would also like to congratulate CSU Bakersfield for surprising everyone with a conference championship and first-time appearance in the tournament.
