The Majesty of Niagara Falls

Eric - Niagara Falls
Since I am a Mongolian, we worship our blue sky and connect to our wild nature. This picture shows how we talk to nature and get energy from its amazing wonders.

Niagara Falls, one of the greatest waterfalls in North America, attracts thousands of tourists every year. The most spontaneous falls in the world are located on the border between the Canadian province of Ontario and the state of New York. Recently, my friends and I decided to visit Niagara Falls. We started our long road trip early in the morning: the weather forecast predicted cloudy weather with some rain. The scenery on the way was very beautiful, and we were surrounded by deep blue water on the way to the falls.

After ten hours, we arrived at the town called “Niagara-on-the-Lake.” It is such a nice town near the Niagara River. There were many gardening, handicraft and clothing stores along the street. The weather was so cold that we could not walk outside for long, and the wind was blowing so hard that we went into the stores. We visited a store that sells handicrafts and souvenirs of Niagara Falls.

Wandering around the streets made us very hungry so we decided to go to a casino recommended to us. We could see Niagara Falls through the casino’s huge windows. After standing in line, it eventually was our turn to be seated. The buffet restaurant had delicious food, including fish, oysters, pizza, roasted chicken and lamb, steaks with different sauces, etc. A kind waitress brought orange juice, Coke and water for us. She constantly collected dirty dishes and asked about what we would like to drink. The interior design was really nice, and ceramic floors were so shiny that I could see my face in them. Many seniors citizens came to play at the casino. From the sixth floor, the waterfall landscape was breathtaking. We took some pictures and then went around the casino to see how people play. It was the first time that I had gone to a casino as I had only seen casinos in the movies. Therefore, it was interesting for me to see that it was a secure place with many  cameras on the ceilings. The ceilings were painted with waterfall scenery and angels.

Next, we went to visit the falls. I have learned many interesting facts about Niagara, including that it has two benefits for the Canadian government. In addition to being a tourist attraction, it provides the electricity and a water source for the people of Ontario.

On Sunday, we returned home and prepared for the upcoming week. I had a great time, and I am happy that I visited this magnificent wonder of nature.
