So you're a Global UGRAD Alum… What now?

The Global UGRAD Program is a very special time in your life – one you’re never going to forget.  It is also an experience that serves as a spring board for your future. The Global UGRAD journey never ends! As a Department of State and World Learning Alumnus, you have a lot of opportunities to continue to explore your potential.

1. The U.S. Department of State Website for International Exchange Alumni is a dynamic and interactive networking website for past and current participants of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs. Here, you can build on your exchange experience and explore all the resources available to you as a member of the site. As a Global UGRAD Alum, you are already registered for this website. Log in and start exploring!

2. The Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) was created by the State Department in 2011 to support alumni initiatives that promote shared values and innovative solutions to global challenges. The competition provides small grants to teams of past and current participants of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs to carry out public service projects that utilize skills and knowledge they have gained through their exchange experiences. We are proud that many Global UGRAD Alumni have won this award! The next cycle for AEIF will happen in spring 2017.

3. World Learning created the Advancing Leaders Fellowship Program to support alumni in their pursuits through continued learning in project design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and proposal writing. After successful completion of the course, 5 fellows will be selected to receive funding for their projects and invited to an award ceremony in November, where they will be paired with mentors who will provide guidance on designing sustainable social innovation programs. This opportunity is available to you until May 26!
