Earth Day 2016

April 22nd marks this year’s annual Earth Day, a holiday started by environmental activists in 1970. We take this time to celebrate the planet and our role as human beings in its amazing ecosystem. This year, the World Learning team has made a pledge to use less paper and go ‘green’, and plans to dedicate more community service hours to planting trees in our city and surrounding neighborhoods. Earth Day has always signified a time of renewal, peace and harmony with nature. We ask all of our Global UGRAD family and friends to do your part and participate in some sort of environmental activism or challenge on this day. Whether it’s using less electricity, more closely monitoring your use of water, or planning a trash clean up around town, we hope that everyone will take part in making the Earth a more habitable place!
