Meriam Ayachi, Fairleigh Dickinson University, NESA UGRAD 2014-2015
After the completion of the Global UGRAD program, I was filled with positive energy and a sense of responsibility toward my community.
I was invited to attend A World at School’s United Nations General Assembly Event in September 2015 at the Town Hall New York City to celebrate the world’s biggest petition on education ever presented to the U.N. As a former Global Youth Ambassador, I was able to collect over 500 signatures for the #UpForSchool Petition.
I am currently a contributor and the area manager of Africa & the Middle East within Global Young Voices (GYV). GYV is an online platform where high profile millennials share stories and opinions about their countries’ occurrences to engage in a global discussion with peers around the world. Participating and managing talented individuals from around the world has contributed significantly to my personal growth.
I am grateful for my Global UGRAD experience that is still providing me with endless opportunities in my academic and voluntary activities.
