HBCU Conference – October 25th

Two members of the World Learning Global UGRAD team, Roya Zahed and Will O’Roark, had the chance to attend the Historically Black College and University Conference on Tuesday, October 25th. The annual HBCU Conference was held at the Residence Inn in Crystal City, Virginia and brought together all the historically black colleges and universities throughout the United States to discuss important topics and themes effecting the HBCU community.

Roya and Will had the chance to meet with representatives from two of the three HBCU’s that World Learning and the Global UGRAD program work with directly, Prairie View A&M and Lincoln University. Global UGRAD participants also attend Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana. The conference was a great opportunity to learn more about issues that HBCUs currently face and promote the Global UGRAD program and other international exchanges at US universities and colleges.
