Dania Castillo (Honduras), Minnesota State University-Mankato, Global UGRAD 2012-13
I am currently preparing myself for my international master’s degree as an Erasmus + scholarship recipient. I am going to be undertaking this prestigious program in different countries and universities: my first semester will be in Scotland – where my official sponsor, the University of Glasgow, is located – then University of Malta in Malta, a summer period in Malaysia at Sains Malaysia University, and a third semester in Estonia at Tallinn University. Finally, when my last semester comes, I will select a university and country to finish my research project. It has been a long process, yet very rewarding. My goals are deepening into the subject of adult education, studying and learning from the different educational tertiary level systems abroad, and continuing exploring and exchanging cultures.
Finally, I would like to mention that this opportunity could not have been possible without my participation in Global UGRAD. Being selected as Global UGRAD scholar meant that I was finally appreciated because of my talents and skills as no one else has ever done it. This gave me a wide range of opportunities in which I could develop myself professionally, personally, and culturally. And now, opening this unique experience as an Erasmus + scholar!
Thank you Global UGRAD and World learning team! Special thanks to Tom Bruey, who has been a great support since I finished my UGRAD experience.
