The end of the fall semester is upon us and as always, the Global UGRAD team at World Learning is immensely impressed by the talent, drive, and kindness of our participants.
For many, this semester marked firsts, both serious and silly – the first time attending a college football game, the first time seeing snow, the first time experiencing Thanksgiving, the first time eating pizza for breakfast, the first time opening a bank account and managing a budget. They also each completed at least twenty hours of community service, shared their culture with American students on campus, joined us in Washington, D.C. for a dynamic workshop, and made cross-cultural friendships that will last a lifetime.
We are proud of each participant and charge them with the task of multiplying the impact of the program by sharing their knowledge and skills with others.
To the one hundred and twenty-two Global UGRAD participants who are departing this month, we will miss you greatly. And remember… Once and UGRAD, always a UGRAD.
