Remembering Sorayah Lemaine

It is with great sadness that we share news of the recent passing of Haitian UGRAD alumna Sorayah Lemaine. Sorayah was a talented and driven young woman who studied Business Administration and Accounting at the University of Missouri-Columbia during the 2010-2011 academic year.  During her time on the UGRAD Program, she made an impact on both her university and community by interning in the International Center and volunteering her time at The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri.  Sorayah was also an active member of the UGRAD Haitian Alumni Group and helped share her beautiful homeland with Bethany Gilchrist during a visit to Port-au-Prince in the spring of 2012. She will be remembered fondly by the World Learning family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Lemaine family and all those who knew Sorayah.
